I’ve had both stainless and titanium, as well as gold stainless. Currently I love how unique the natural titanium is. The brushed finish is just so warm and inviting. It doesn’t show fingerprints as much as the stainless steel does. Unfortunately it scratches just as easily as the stainless. It’s just the nature of the material. I have been super careful with mine, but after just a few weeks there are some hairline scratches that can be seen easily if you look at it at the right angle with the right light. (Attached at the bottom of this post.) My gold stainless steel, however, has yet to show any hairline scratches. But again, currently I love the look of the titanium. Just wish it could be kept scratch free!

That's the nature of metal. I personally don't care about scratches on the casing. As long as it's not deep grooves like you see on alu and that it's not on the glass. I have read somewhere that you can buff them out on Titanium. I think (that I'm not 100% sure) that they use Grade 5 titanium, which is pretty hard, so it should be good.

Stainless is good too as you can polish it. Actually never did with mine, it wasn't too bad after 2 years and it got exchanged for a new one (the battery was down to 80%).

I'm really looking forward of receiving mine, it's already preparing for shipment, hopefully sometime next week it will be here.

Yet to try on my own, since it is brand new.

Mine have shipped already, should be here on December 16 according to Apple. UPS show it's in Jiaxing, China and expect delivery on December 13. Let see who is right :)

I went from aluminium series 6 to SS series 7. I just wanted the graphite SS. Bigger screen is nice but it’s no different to last year overall and battery life is awful. I have to charge by 5pm when I wake at 5am

Yeah. If you put it on very early in the day, there’s a good chance you won’t make it to bed time. Battery life is honestly the only thing Apple really needs to improve. At this point, anything else would just be icing on the cake.

Yeah better battery life is enough pretty much. It does what it’s meant to do. It’s damn hard to improve watches each year.

That's exactly what I got: Midnight Sports Band. That's what it says on the box. And yes, in brighter lighting, it's definitely blue (as you can see in those pictures).
I just went to the Apple store to check the Midnight Sport Band and it's really black (well dark gray). There is no blue to it.

Lol. Wait until you actually get it. Walk outside on a sunny day, look at the band in the sun, and then you'll understand. ??

But it's ok, I mean it's nothing really blue, I spent quite a bit of time looking at it from all angles and to me it's black. I will like it I think :) My Titanium is still in Shanghai, waiting. I wish my Apple store had them, would have been much easier to try it on and know right away.

I saw a long thread here about the Titanium (S5) and people were complaining about scratches. Did they resolve the issue? Seems like no one complains about it anymore.

Either that or some just don't seem to care anymore.

Just get a pen eraser. That's what I did. Works great.

Just got mine. Wow, it feels even more premium than the stainless steel. It doesn't look at all like in the picture. There is a nice shine to it without the mirror finish, it's very very nice.

Thanks all for the help. It's definitely a keeper, so I will be returning my stainless steel S7.

I was looking at my faucet this morning and the brushed satin finish reminds me of the Titanium, and stainless steel would be like the shiny chrome finish of faucets. I always go for the brushed satin finish when buying faucets, which is why I love my Ti even more than the SS ones I had before.

Titanium looks nicer than that, but a bit yeah.

Are you getting AppleCare+ on yours? I'm wondering if I should go with the 3 years or the monthly. Just noticed that they charge more than for the SS. It's a bit cheaper to pay upfront (by $35)

I got it, always do for AW. If you don’t keep the watch for 3 years, you’ll get a prorated refund

I have the same problem reported by others with the gray band they provide for "free". One side is very loose and moves quite a bit. Sometimes it doesn't even lock in when you insert the band, you need to wiggle it a bit for it to click. Not sure what to do with that.

Seems like they have a quality control issue with that band.

well, the bottom piece (both) work just fine, the top slides through, inserted from either direction, but, when I slide back and forth quickly it snaps in and stays in place. As I am not going to wear this band often (if at all) I'm gonna keep it "as is".
Is it the top side for you guys too?
I think I'm gonna contact Apple to let them know, there definitely is a quality issue

I'm not sure, and I already put it back in the package for now. I don't think I will wear it much too, it's really an ugly, medical device looking band.

I just returned my Stainless Steel. ?

My Titanium already has 2 scratches so far after day 1... Nothing big, but still. Will see over the next few weeks how it age, if I ever change my mind... and reorder a SS...

For the weight, I really don't feel that 5 grams difference.

@justywusty How is it going with yours after few days?

Just a an update on my S7 natural Titanium….it has held up better than expected…..no scratches that I see using the naked eye. My S5 stainless had hundreds of scratches but buffed out easily before selling.
I also have a scratch free S6 SBti. The natural titanium has become my favorite of all Apple Watch models.
Will get the S8 in natural titanium again if available and if upgrades are significant.
