why not use something like this?: https://github.com/jens-maus/amissl

i can happily browse almost everything on my 68k (vampire v4) amiga. even with icab in the shapeshifter mac emulator. which is funny seeing how classilla on my pismo just barfs an erroe message about incompatible encryption..

i'm not much of a coder but seems to me this would be much easier to port than going the browser route..

yeah i know about that : ) but it needs a raspberry pi or other host that does the 'serving' part. cool solution but i was thinking about something more local. even though most dynamic sites will not work properly, it's fun to at least see them in their html 1.1 glory.. if an amiga can do it so can a classic mac..

about the suspension lol i have no idea. maybe i haven't logged on for a long time or messed up my password. anyway, thanks : )

You are right.. if the Amiga can, so should we be able to as well.

I am confused, what does this have to do with os 9? It doesn't mention it will work on OS 9.

it has nothing to do with it, it is for 68k amigas.

what i meant was that someone who's better at programming than me could *port* this to mac os 9 as a system extension, then we we could happily browse any site in any browser as long as the extensions is kept up to date.
