I'm currently an att customer but am contemplating moving to tmobile to take advantage of the new family plan and save $40+/month. I'm curious though-what are the exact terms when it comes to "family"? I can't really fine anything specific on their website.

Has anyone signed up for a family plan and had anyone else not living in the same address (such as friends or other relatives)? The only thing I can see is a mention of "same billing address" but my parents wouldn't obviously have that.

My wife and i are on a T-Mobile family plan with our mothers, who each live in difference cities. It was no problem at all getting them added to our existing plan. Our billing address is the 'main' address; each mother logs in to T-Mobile to pay with their own debit cards each month. No issues whatsoever. I highly recommend doing this, as the per line charge drops with more people on.
