    Would it be possible for someone to make an app that has the lines of all the subways in NYC or whatever else city. It would really be useful instead of reading the map or loading the web page on Safari.

    Just a couple of thoughts...

    MTA has a pdf of the subway map available on their website.
    http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/subwaymap.pdf

    You could download it and email it to yourself, thereby adding it to your iPhone as long as you save the email.

    Or you could perhaps copy their website image:
    http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm

    and add the image to your iPhone as a photo.

    The PDF will probably look better.

    But it's a good idea to be prepared in case you can't use the EDGE network.
