Hey- just got Weller's new disc! I have to say, we humans are fortunate to be blessed with this angel of a man. While there are some songs I don't like, for the most part it's full of more Weller classics. I especially love "Blink and You Might Miss It" and "Bring Back the Funk".

Saw him here in Chicago for the fourth time. I love that guy! This time I took my Mom with me. She's 62 years old and was elated afterward! She can't figure out why he's not more popular here. Neither can I actually. His music is very universal. He's your national treasure.

Ask him nicely, and I bet he will. This was my fourth time seeing him and I always leave exhausted. I don't know how he does it. I mean, the guy's pushing 50 and still puts out great music. I think he's one of those people who NEEDS to be making music. There's just no attitude with him. Before the show, the whole band was hanging out outside the theater and were so nice.

Apologies for reviving a month-dead thread, but I've just spotted on the BBC that Paul's going to be presented with the Outstanding Contribution to British Music award at next year's Brit Awards.

Richly deserved, I feel. 🙂
