I am currently debating buying a iPad mini , BUT as always when I comes to spending a fair wack on something that I don't NEED, I'm ooo'ing and ahhh'ing.

I read somewhere here there's some new models coming later this year... Is it worth waiting?

I went into the apple shop to have a look, and was told 12 hours of constant use = battery life. Is this evan true?

I get at least 10 hours on screen time on my air 2

it's really up to you...at this stage i would wait as it's only a few months from the ipad pro and mini 4 to be announced. up in the air if there is an ipad air 3.

Even thought I just bought an iPad Air 2 knowing there is an iPad event coming in october most likely. I knew the Air 3 might now even happen and if it does will most likely be an incremental upgrade since the Air 2 is already a great device and I needed one for work, however if I was in the market for a mini I would have definitely waited, cause the mini will most likely be a big upgrade since the mini 3 was incremental and the mini 4 will most likely be a very nice upgrade performance wise to specs similar to the Air 2.

iOS devices are typically updated in Sept and Oct. If you don't have a massive need for an iPad like you need it for school which starts next week, wait.
