Looking forward to start using my new iPhone 13 Pro.

Upgrading from an ancient (first generation SE). The look is similar to iPhone 5 and 5S with the rectangular flat edges.
One of the primary reasons I did not upgrade (besides funding) was the shape with rounded edges of the future phones. I found them difficult to pick up and handle.
The SE is without a case and I like it this way. It docks or undocks easily into my car dock with one hand. If it's not in the car dock or a desk dock it's in my belt clip pouch.

I have two car docks on order - 1 to fit the phone naked, and 1 to fit phone with a case. I use the dock feature to connect to the car radio for CarPlay.

One thing I'm not sure how to handle is the rear camera bump. How do others that run naked feel about it?

I'm upgrading for the following reasons:
1. camera
2. phone speed
3. phone size - find it harder to see (age related)
4. poor battery life (battery needs replacement)

I did purhcase these two items

Unsure if they will be compatible together

I am using my 13pm most of the days naked. The only thing i use is a pouch case just to avoid scratches. I did the same with my 11pm and 12pm. Both after 1 year mostly naked they were in pristine condition with 0 scratches etc. But bear in mind i am very carefull with my stuff in general ?

Naked unless I’m going somewhere “high risk” - sporting event, gym, etc.

No signs of use on body or back glass yet. Had it since launch.

Camera bump is annoying though - phone rocks heavily when tapping near the bottom.

I also have Apple Care+ though just in case.

Ahh, the eternal question… I’ve got the 12 mini and bought both an Apple leather case for it and Applecare. In hindsight, I should have done one or the other, and it should have been Applecare.

The case always hindered my enjoyment of the phone and I would often take it off. I did so permanently after 6 months (in the summer) and have been using it naked since then. No issues at all and I enjoy using the phone much more.

I too am very careful with my devices, so no scratches or dents, no drops. But I’ve still got applecare if and when.

12 mini, no case, tempered glass screen protector, AC+.

I own, by the way, 4 cases: silicone red product, saddle brown leather and 2 spigen (liquid ans ultra hybrid). Have to decide what to do in the near future with a newborn that is coming ?
