I have got 2010 mpb 13inch with 128gb apple ssd, I am fairly happy with lion's performance on my machine but it is widely spoken that ml is faster than lion even on older hardware.

Is it worth to install dp4 to experience it or is it better to wait for the final release which will be less buggy ?

If you're not a developer, then I suggest waiting, its not like you'll be waiting long, its not worth the hassle, imo.

sam here. I think even if you are a developer it might be worth waiting as GM is right around the corner.

I installed DP4 last night and it's worth EVERY bit of it! geeze lion is crap! im coming from 24 years of windows and man lion was sad to start off with on your first mac... but with ML DP4 I get a lot better performance all over, snappier and even starcraft 2 runs way better in osx. sure it's not final, but you can just update / upgrade / reinstall in 2 weeks I don't see the problem.

Anyway, as with most things it's a personal preference, but I do not regret it!

Wait for the GM (probably this week), its not worth it. And you can't upgrade DP4 to GM.

I don't think there will be any difficulty upgrading from ML DP4 to the final version.
