On the PC side, moving to DDR ram resulted in only a 3-4% increase in speed in 3d games like Q3. I wouldn't expect much more from a mac.

Still no Athlon Benchmarking
I would dearly love to see xServe benchmarked against the 1U server built by www.PenguinComputing.com with dual Athlon MP 2000+. Fully stacked, is just a little over $5k ea. Plus for a little more, PenguinComputing will set up Beowulf clustering with these. Let's see: 42 1U rack mount dual athlons, thats an 84 Processer number crunching demon!
