To refurb or not refurb? Opinion for first time mac owner please!

I got a refurbished MBP over the summer. It was PRISTINE. Even the rubber feet on the bottom of the laptop were untouched and new. It smelled new, looked new, and tasted new (jk). Get a refurb, I promise you won't regret it.
 
Thanks for all the great info and advice. I was all set to grab the 15" refurb but as it was so close to black friday and cyber monday I decided to watch the sites and see what happened.

Long story short, I got the NEW version from amazon for 1599, no shipping, no tax. It was on sale for like 5 minutes, only little over $100 over refurb cost with tax! It is OTW, can't wait! 😀
