iPod touch to register or not??

Hi,
I'm just wondering if you all registered your ipod touch. Does if matter if it was brought it abroad!! or if you jail break it etc?? What exactly does it give you if you register it??

There are no reprimands for registering a jailbroken touch, or one purchased abroad. It just gives apple a way to track all the iPod purchased. I've registered mostly all of my apple products and haven't noticed any benefits. (I'd like someone to tell me I have been receiving benefits, though)
