Did your eye strain and funny feeling go away due to the iphone 8 being pwm flicker free?

While the 8 doesn't have PWM dimming flicker, my 6 Plus (or an 8 Plus) is easier on my eyes than staring at a smaller 8. I switch between them all the time (different OSes) and it's such a striking visual relief to get back to the 6 Plus. The 8 screen doesn't seem bad when looking at it... until switching over to a plus. Then you really notice it. And it's not just because the Plus has a bigger screen. I believe it's easier on the eyes because it has a higher resolution.

If you have PWM sensitivity then absolutely the 8/+ will make you feel completely normal again.
Got it today

still feel some strain but thats because iused iphone 11 po all day

Will see by tommorow

You can also go with the XR / 11 to get a larger screen, better battery life, better cameras, better internals, and still be worry free.

According to some folks here, even the XR and 11 have caused issues for them; from eye strain to headaches. Most likely because of their low resolution screens and PPI.

But they have same ppi as iPhone 8

Screen resolution is still fine it’s a Retina display. Unless people are using their phones 2-3 inches away from their face, shouldn’t be a concern

That said I personally feel the iPhone 8 and 8 plus are perfectly capable and competitive phones. I prefer the smaller size of the 8 to the chunkier 8 plus/XR/11 myself.

Downgraded from 11 to 8 last week due Face ID. Live the Touch ID while working at office 40 hours pre week
