    Hi guys,

Forgive me if this question has been raised before but I have a problem....
I've burned a DVD using Toast's DVD-from-Video TS function, all worked perfectly but has subtitles (English) on when it plays. They don't come up in VLC player, only on the Toasted DVD. I can't remove the subtitles from the compressed DVD (no menus etc) so how do I make sure they don't get recorded.....all help gratefully received, thanks

Sorry to bump a year old useless thread, but I'm afraid I'm having the same issue. I need to get rid of subtitles in a DVD with no menus or anything.

this guy says try using the "toggle subtitles off" when playing dvd in the normal dvd player.
however, there wasn’t final confirmation in this thread that it worked, and I couldn’t toggle off my subtitles in my avi file while playing in quicktime.

I can turn off the subtitles while playing in VLC - but, I find the way it plays in quicktime tends to be exactly how things turn out when burnt in toast, unfortunately!

Also, this guy says try it using DVD2oneX

I’ll let you know how I get on...
