When I try to burn anything using Toast 6.0 the program acts like it is going to do its thing, it simply hangs up with the spinning beach ball. It was working fine with OS 10.3.5 until I installed the recent security update from Apple. I have a gray 400 MHz G3 and a Lacie CDRW on a SCSI (Adaptec card). No pirateware. I can't get Toast to force-quit until I turn off the CDRW. Apparently something is burned to the blank CD as I can't use them anymore.

I have also had some problems w/kernel panic when my computer sits for a while, but that seems to have resolved upgrading my OS 9 to 9.2. I have corrected the permissions several times, and run Tech Tool.....

So, any ideas? Any thoughts as to how to uninstall a security update?

I would try to reinstall the system if your getting the 'kernel' Sound like your having some issues with the OS, also get the update for toast.
