Hello,

Okay so when I go the DVD-Video section I put all the videos I wanted in and the chapters/Menu I wanted etc.

Then it said that I had a mixture of both PAL and NTSC (or however you spell it) which I already knew and was fine with because I wanted to test out what my PS3 could read and could not between files of .mkv, .avi, and .mp4 (ironically it play/read everything but the .mp4).

Anyways, it starts burning and then this message pops up,

"The drive reported an error

Sense key = MEDIUM ERROR
Sense code = 0x73, 0x04"

So I have no idea what that means or how to fix it. Please DO NOT tell me "You should try other brands."

I have no issue with my DVD+R DL Windata, the error came when I was using the Memorex DVD-R.

The odd thing is that when I covert my videos into a VIDEO_TS folder and then put them on toast it transfer just fine onto a Memorex disc.

Any other information you need, just let me know.

Try another brand/batch of disks. Seriously, if you're telling us it worked fine with the other type of disk, but not these, why are you even asking the question?

A "Medium error" means a problem with the medium, pl. media, i.e. the disk that you're using.

If it persisted across multiple types of DVD's, then I would suspect the drive, but the fact of the matter is you probably had a bad DVD or batch of DVD's, or perhaps your machine doesn't play well with the Memorex disks.

It's always bad practice to tell the people you're asking for help what they shouldn't tell you to try, btw. Tell them you've already tried it, and you're in good shape, but telling them it's not worth trying is not a good plan.

EDIT: And bumping a thread is against the Forum Rules. Just so you know.

Thanks,

But, I said that it didn't work with them, but worked with the others however I created that VIDEO_TS folder in which the discs did work which is why I'm asking the question for help. They work fine with VIDEO_TS, but not when you want to create a menu screen for your movies.

I said don't tell it because I read lots of forums before and I know it is not the discs.

fyi, thanks for the bump info.

Oh, that's another thing I should ask, iiiifffff it is the discs, then what disc would you guys recommend in using for the mac?
