This is on Toast 10.01....

After my 3rd dvd, i decided to give the forums a shot, because I'm trying to write a .avi to dvd so I can watch it on the tv.

Could someone go step by step on how to do this, because I go to
>Video
>DVD-Video
>Encode Automatically

However; when I watch it later-the lips aren't synced to the video, which is different than the original file.
Also, it seems to work in my car but not on a DVD Player, any help on that...?

If someone could shed some light that would be great.

A quick response would be helpful too, thanks guys!!

does your .avi file play Ok in quicktime? If the sync is out with the .avi then the DVD will be out as well.

I use toast 9 so i don't know version 10, but everything you said you did seems to be Ok. the only thing i do different is no menus and I make sure that
DVD-Video is chosen and I put video quality at best.

If it works in the car then try and playing your disk in the computer, if that works then it sounds like the dvd player.

Good luck!!
