ok, when this is done should I try burning it in the video tab or the data tab?
 
ok it finished ripping. there alot more files in this folder that in the last one. but it still wont play in dvd player

there are now .bup and .ifo where there weren't before and there are more .vobs

The video tab allows you to drag and drop any QuickTime ready video file (if you've got the codec - you can use it) and convert it to DVD, SVCD, or VCD, or if you highlight the advanced options you can actually drag and drop DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS. You can also select DVD-ROM (UDF) under Data/Advanced to do the same thing.
 
Tried burning it

I got an error

Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error
Result Code = 1409

I just tried playing it and I think it worked.......

Just wondering, for the people who burn through disc utilities how do you shrink it?

I've never gotten Disk Utility to produce a viewable DVD for me (i.e., one I can watch on my older Sony DVD player).

I shrink with DVDRemaster, although I've heard good things about Popcorn.
