In the Netherlands it’s €4.99 / month, so half price. Not such a great discount. But I’m not interested in any case, I had 3 free months and watched almost nothing.

Yeah I'm good, thanks. Got Hulu, Netflix, Max and Paramount Plus for free with various bundles and promos from my cell and internet providers. Apple is welcome to kick rocks if it thinks I have any interest in contributing to this Hollywood welfare fund.

I picked up the deal Monday (on Amazon). Started "Severance," and the few episodes I've watched so far have already made it worthwhile for this month, at least.

Speaking of, did anyone else see that first overhead Lumon Industries parking lot shot and immediately think of Simon Stålenhag's paintings?

Can I cancel today and then sign up again 10 min later in order to get the deal?

Lol
It might work but the deal is for “new and qualified returning” customers only. What makes a returning customer qualified? Well I found that you cannot have taken advantage of any free or discount offers in the past. So results may vary here.

For those wanting to watch the 2021 Academy Award winning movie, CODA, you can either watch on Apple TV+ or you can get it on blu-ray from Italy.

Personally loving Apple TV at the moment, there’s the most interesting content recently - for my tastes anyway.

Having seen everything else in the recent catalog I wanted, I happily paid $2.99 to watch season two of Severance, figuring I'd cancel afterwards. Got hooked on The Studio, so will let it renew another month so I can finish the series. Which makes me wonder if people would pay $2.99 to rent a single tv series, lol.

If you have Amazon Prime, just cancel ATV on your Apple account and add it as a channel on Prime. Other than the annoyance of having to recreate your playlist* (which probably won't be very big) it's not a big deal. By the next time Apple has a trial, you'll probably qualify on your Apple account again.

*Be sure and use that playlist because after you cancel the trial, if Amazon adds any of your shows to regular Prime, you'll see them pop up again. I've had this happen a lot with the foreign channels I cycle through.

All this to lose 1 billion a year that isn’t even building up a catalog anyone’s gonna be interested in watching in 10 years

It’s literally just setting money on fire because they can.

Maybe just my taste, but severance, slow horses and maybe even silo are absolutely top tier television that will have value for the next 50 years or so whether they keep them to themselves or licence them out

Other people really like morning show. Some of the “comedies” are pretty good too compared to what else is being made these days

Dont forget that Apple streams all the Peanuts stuff for free.

Cancelled…not for this offer….just that there so little content it’s pointless. Sign up for a month each year and binge the few shows that are any good….which don’t amount to many.

I think you need to be unsubscribed for 3 months before you can become eligible again. At least that is what I was told when I bought a new 4k Apple TV. I was only 1.5 months away from getting 3 months for free..yip, yip!
