Anyone else installed the audio update just released by Apple? I'm curious as to what it has done for you. Before the update, using my Sony earbuds, I would have static in the line for about 30 seconds after any audio was done playing. After the update, I now can hear constant static through the audio output. To prove to myself I wasn't crazy, I booted to my Firewire backup harddrive that was last backed up pre-update, and sure enough, the static returned to it's old behavior of only being present for a short time after audio had played.

Now that the static is constant Apple can now say it is "normal".

"... because ... there is always static!"

the static in mine's been lowered, but my audio in jack is screwed up now- all I get is a steady clicking/popping noise that clips the audio in whenever something's plugged into it😕 this sucks!
