I'm waiting until next year for several reasons, including the possibility of them making the jet black iPhone more scratch resistant.
I'm waiting until next year for the 8 Plus as well. Meanwhile I'm going to enjoy the 7 Plus when it arrives in a couple days. Until then 6S Plus it is!
Really this report doesn't mean a whole lot. It's basically guessing from the firm, educated guessing but still guessing.
Even if true I don't know that making the phone out of stainless steel vs aluminum would help that much. It may be harder but it'll still get scratched up a bit. Heck my old S7 Edge ended up with a bunch of scratches on the back and that was made of glass.
That being said if they do a gloss white iPhone next year there's nothing that will stop me from getting it![]()
A fake rumor of what Apple 'may' make next year? So what.
Or i can enjoy my naked jetblack now AND get the new one next year?

"Told you" it'd be glass back rather than ceramic.
It doesn't really matter to those of us who upgrade yearly.
So ready for what ever alpha & omega iPhoneoffers next yr ; for now am loving my matte
