Tomtom Bluetooth compatibility?

thinking of buying the tomtom one xl, and i was wondering if anyone has used this with their iphone to make phone calls/pull up contacts etc...
 
bump...does anyone have a tomtom?
or is everyone too busy playing with the update to answer???

i cant update yet due to hacks 🙁
 
I've got one, haven't tried it yet though.

I'm guessing it's not gonna work. Seems like the iPhone is (stupidly) locked down to headsets only over BT.
 
It should work. I have handfree built into my car and it works with my iPhone. It is basically the same principle as the TomTom.

what do u mean? tomtom is huge in the states, maybe not as big as in europe. but still big

actually it works with alot of the factory handsfree systems that come with cars...so it might. you should try it out and let me know 😉

TomTom huge in the States? I'm sorry people are buying bad maps. 🙁
 
Handsfree works fine with my TomTom GO 910, but data does not.

I think you'll find that's typical when using a TomTom with any phone that isn't made by Motorola, Sony-Ericsson, or Nokia.
