Anyone know if a first gen iPod Touch will fit in the iPhone TomTom kit?

1st gen touch too short for TT iphone car kit.

Its about 1/2" short of reaching the top clip. But the carkit mount and gps chip do work with the touch if you hold it into the base connector. So, electrically compatible yes, physically compatible, no.

Thanks for the info. I have both the iPhone and iPod and was hoping it would fit both (even if some features would not work for the iPod).

They should have made it more universal...

dual use is a shortfall in TT's creativity and vision ... for $10 more, Magellan's car kit provides dual use - iPhone/Touch, works w/ skins/cases, bluetooth when not in base, and firmer notches to hold in landscape better

(observed, not personal experience since i own a TT car kit 😀 ...)

p.s. i wonder if there will be a market for an attachment that will make the TT car kit dual use ... hmm
