I have a 3G iPad and am going on several trips in the near future. I want to get a turn by turn GPS iPad app, and I would like some opinions on the best option. The vast majority of my travel is in the Eastern US, so my options are Navigon for Eastern US at $30 (not optimized for iPad), TomTom at $40, or CoPilot HD for $30. What is your experience? Any help would be appreciated!

Have you considered MotionX GPS Drive HD for $2.99? I have been using this on the East Coast for a few weeks and so far it has been working perfectly. It has mostly great reviews on iTunes and most of the negative ones seem to be because it requires an email address to activate.

I'm trying the MotionX app this weekend. I just finished downloading it. Does anyone know what the subscription cost will be for the voice navigation after the initial 30 days?
