Am I missing something.. is Western Europe a cut down version? Surely you'd be daft to get the UK one and miss out on maps for Europe for only another few quid?

L longdogs macrumors regular Jul 26, 2010 #2 Depends how much space you want to sacrifice on your iPhone. The UK app is 350 MB, Western Europe is 1.85GB. While I use the UK app frequently, the Western Europe app would be wasted space, considering I'd only use it every 2 or 3 years.

K kolax macrumors G3 Original poster Jul 27, 2010 #3 But for another £2, regardless of space, why wouldn't you go for it? I mean, is the Britain map a slimmed down version? There must be stuff cut out for the price to be literally the same..?

W wesbar macrumors member Jul 27, 2010 #4 Britain map is identical on both. No reason to not get the Western Europe version.
