I want to hop on what 'citysnaps' said earlier. I work in IT and feel that training is by far the best tool out there. I love showing new features of new and existing technology to users. Not everything in this article will apply to everyone. Nor will someone who just got an iPhone today and never touched one a day in their life follow this article step by step. I didn't read this feeling it was meant for a novel user.
I'm sadden that on Christmas, y'all come on here to trash a very helpful tool used to advance users and build self confidence in technology.

Spot-on. I suspect it took the author a huge chunk of time, their personal time, researching and writing this article, producing the graphics, editing etc. All to help people who purchased or received an iPhone 14, or are new to iOS 16.2, and people looking for a refresher (as noted in the story).

Far from being an expert everyone apparently is, this is something I'm going to bookmark for future reference. Thank you MacRumors!

Yeah, the ungratefulness is astonishing. Especially being spewed on Christmas Day.

Wait, people actually asked for iPhone 14's this Christmas? We just got new batteries in our 11's and plan to hold out another iteration or two before an update seems necessary due to Apple inevitably locking us out of updates.

Of course. Or simply received them as a surprise gifts.

Not astonishing at all. Especially seeing the extra large crowds at three local Apple Stores looking to purchase phones.

You might be surprised that with Apple manufacturing 600,000+ iPhones every day of the year, and with that number ramped up during Christmas, that those phones are actually ending up in customer's hands.

Thank you for making this article about the apple 14 series phones....which in these days of problems we having worldwide helped me forget about what happening in bad ways. To me enjoyment in reading and seeing people's views in a positive sense is important. But destructive and outright rude.

People always make destructive comments about items they never had or couldn't afford. saying they owned it returned it etc, but they never had it. why do they even come to sites like this to cause problems? Years of seeing this since pre-1996 nothing changed, ignoring them is what many do. People who cannot enjoy anything life offers instead of trying to make people believe that what they trying to say isn't even correct. I enjoyed apple items since the first consumer apple products were sold. I like sharing my views and concerns with world people with the same interest. After years of not being involved with fan sites, I decided to come here. What I experienced at times is unhelpful destructive remarks with little or no help.

Terrific article! I've used iPhones for many years and there are still features I don't take full advantage of. There is a lot here, as others have also commented, which simply reflects the capabilities of the iPhone and iOS. Much appreciated!

I haven't owned an iPhone in awhile, but I thought I saw something earlier this year, that iOS can not have notifications for texts and phone calls pop up from the bottom? I really like that, easier to interact with and tap it if it's coming in from the bottom of the screen?

Is that in iOS 16, or a setting you can make like that?
