Apple watch is basically just their version of what Samsung did with the Galaxy Gear, plus or minus actual features. The obvious difference that sets it apart from the rest of smart watches is how glossy it looks. Even the display looks glossy. I wonder how it would display under sunny conditions.

I personally like the matte designs and less glossy display of most other smart watches.

I agree it does look abit too glossy in the renderings, but looking at the video Verge posted where they quickly try it on it doesn't look that bad. I think its just the 3D rendering combined with the fact that the black bevel is rounded.

I know you're not saying they're stealing from Samsung, but I just want to turn this statement on its head to reflect the truth:

Galaxy Gear is just the result of looking at Apples patents from the last two-three years. Whereas its safe to assume the Apple Watch has been under development for two-three years, I'm willing to bet our Korean friends did their R&D in less than six months for their first release.

Maybe it's not as extreme as the pics show. But I'm pretty sure it's definitely more glossy than any other smart watch.

I'm not even going to go there, cause I wouldn't care either way. I simply stated that cause both have the square design and both are proprietary to their specific brands.

i like all the colors besides the gold and rose gold. But i guess they have to appeal to women some how.

I think all of them appeal more to women than men.

    Don't worry.

After wearing it for a while, it'll become fingerprintly instead. :p
