Too Many 5300s!!!! What do I do with 'em?

Nothing wrong with GIFs! Seriously though, a 603E can do JPEGs. I used to have lots of JPEGs on my quadra 040😎. Its not like I am trying to play COD3 on a Color Classic. Although I have played Warcraft II on an LCII. It just works, don't ask me how.

Hey all, I just got an offer for $90 for all of them, and I think I'm gonna go ahead and do it. I have so many computers in my room now, they don't get used, and I'm gonna need a laptop for high school, so...

However, if anybody has a compelling reason for me to keep them, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I actually meant, how do you get them on.
 
Wow has it been a while!!! Anyway, I'm not selling them. I might give one out as a christmas gift.

AND

I could convert one into a web server. Run it headless and figure out how to make a homebrew case for the display. Then I could display an iChat on it.

Another one, I could put on my Apple Shelf.

Another one I could stick in an eMachines case I have laying around.

Thoughts?

I can get 5 JPEGS on a floppy. It would take a while. Or you could network it, that would be easier, if you have a lot.

I made digital picture frames out of four 5300ce's (active matrix screens) about 4 years ago. They still run 8 hours a day!
 
Yeah, the 5300ce's would tend to run better as picture frames, cause they've at least got active matrix displays. Mine are currently in a cardboard box. It's all so sad... 🙁
 
You could go camping,turn them on and see which bursts into flames first, and make roasted marshmallows. 😛

Actually... not sure... 5300's and me didn't get along too well. Best of luck!

Actually, quick update, I guess, I'm getting rid of them one by one in various trades.
