i installed the 3.0 toolchain from theworm cydia repo and to get it working i had to copy over the frameworks and libraries from the 4.2 sdk I have done this before with no problem. I compiled the Hello world app found at http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=HelloWorld_on_iPhone It compiled with some framework version warnings that i can only assume come from using a 3.0 toolchain with 4.2 libraries but i remember having those warnings before and it still worked. Anyway when I put the HelloWorldCTRL.app directory in the /Applications directory as described in the tutorial and restarted springboard nothing happened it did not show up. Has anybody here had any experience with the iphone toolchain and getting the app to install properly before? I totally have done this before and for some reason on my new ipod 4g running 4.3.3 with an unteathered jailbreak does not want to install the hello world app.

i should have done a bit more digging but for anybody that would like to know I think it is a problem in the code and not the way i installed it nor the warnings i succesfully compiled and installed a hello world from http://antirez.com/page/iphone-gcc-guide.html I had to remove some non existent frameworks from the Makefile to get it to compile
