I've had prior iPhone's Jailbroken in the past, but never really utilized it to its full extent. What are some of the most highly touted apps or mod's you will do once your iPhone4 is jailbroken?

The beauty of jailbreaking is that so many people can do so many different things.

For me though, the most important apps are BiteSMS and MyWi. After those, its all gravy...

Thank you! What is the name of the tool which let's you modify and choose from a wide range of settings for your lock screen?

I don't know of any such tool for settings on the lock screen. SBSettings....is very popular for the springboard.

Are you thinking of LockInfo? You can run numerous LockInfo add-ons for viewing email, RSS, weather, etc on the lock screen.

i hope they updated the apps like winterboard, sbsettings to make it IOS4 compatible.

SB settings is a must - I find that winterboard drains the battery and slows things down just a touch - nonetheless, hope they update it since I know quite a few people looking forward to it.

how is this different than boxcar - I think it's a cool idea but there is so little information on the website that it's difficult to figure out exactly what it does.

I think collates your actual notifications into the app more like how android phones do it now. It's also nicely designed imo.

There'll be an icon version which i assume is how boxcar is like and one version which is activated via Activator, ie a swipe down could pull the app open like on an Android device.

Not sure how boxcar works as I've never used it. Boxcar looks like it needs providers to provide notifications. Notifier will use all your current notifications by the looks of it.

Boxcar pretty much pools all the services you want it to and checks for notifications.

So by having it you can disable facebook checking for notifications.

Boxcar is nice but sometimes it works great sometimes its slow.. i find it polls every 4-5minute and checks if you have something waiting.

Only downside with it is if you disable facebook notifications, but actually enable it in boxcar then you dont get the actual badge on the facebook app all the badges you get are on boxcar itself.

I've had some issues with boxcar as well - overall it's an excellent app though.

I'm excited about cydgets. Hopefully they run faster on the iPhone 4.

I agree I'm hoping for one that changes the signal strength meter.

I want to be able to have six bars for those times when 5 just isn't enough. That extra push over the top.

Just the thing for all the how big are my bars boys here who spend far to much time squeezing their phones trying to make their bars move.....;)
