It seems my modding duties have reduced my overall posting in forums that count towards post count! Curse that larger avatar ;)

Thanks Q.

Thanks Q.

I believe mine increased since I started subscribing to every thread I post in and using the subscriptions page to keep track of and follow threads better. That allows me to post more by keeping up with the threads I've participated in.

Thanks Q.

Even with 2 kids, and my moderation abilities I still have no life so I post here quite a bit :p

has gocubsgo always had the same username?

I dont feel like i've ever seen a post from them, but they have been around for 8 years.

Forgot all about this list. A lot of names near the top that I have never heard of.

Q, can you calculate the numbers adding in the PRSI posts. Or separate them out into top PRSI posters.

Spammer ;):p I find I just haven't participated as much with helping people out with tech problems, thus it has dropped because of that.

:D I know we would be lost if you did have one! :D

If possible, that would be very insightful.

Sorry, but I don't have a way to count PRSI posts since vBulletin doesn't count the posts there. Even searching for PRSI posts user-by-user won't work since vBulletin search results are always limited to a maximum.

Now if I could just measure post quality, that would really be something to study!

What kind of perspective exactly?

From the standpoint of stimulating posts about various posting habits

Some saying they feel like they need to post less
Some saying they feel the need to post more
Some commenting on other posters posting habits
Viewing the changes in my own posting habits over the years

A. Very insightful.

And here I was proud of my almost 400 posts. :p

All things aside, that is a really interesting graph, thanks DoctorQ for your hard work.

As always, I love seeing the stats here. Thanks for all of your hard work Doctor Q. I'll be on that list someday.:D

Do you think you'll make it from #30 to #27 as the 6-month chart predicts, i.e., continue posting at about the same rate?

If I only need 500 or so posts to get to 27 as predicted, should be quite doable.

I think i have had a lot bigger 6month rates in the past though I think this latest round may have been my lowest in quite a while

That's how I ended up starting this tradition. I had a day off and invented a math project. Little did I know I'd still be working on it a decade later!

Sure, let's try it. Does it tell you anything?

Years of Membership, in order by current rank

Exactly! This is what I was curious about. The number one poster (by far) has fewer years (mostly by far) than the rest of the top 13. Cool.

Is this done with numbers that only moderators have access to, or is this something us mere mortals could look at? I'd be interested in doing stats for myself as well.

Anyone can look at anyone's profile page to get their current post count. That's what I do. But moderator or not, you can't look at somebody's post count from a given date in the past, so I rely on the history of post counts I've recorded over the years. So anyone could have gathered the data, but only I was foolish enough to actually do it!
