top command output

    Does anybody know what the +/- signs mean at the end of these values mean which were taken from the top command:

    PID COMMAND %CPU TIME #TH #WQ #PORT #MREGS RPRVT RSHRD RSIZE VPRVT
    51 mds 1.5 39:09.26 18 9 246- 1175- 365M+ 44M 237M- 1716M+

    That means the value has increased or decreased from the last value shown on the screen.
