Ok, so I have the newest macbook where you can open up your dashboard, toggle your sound, etc. on the F1-F12 Keys. Well i used to be able to press them and it would work but now when I press them nothing happens. I am guessing I changed some setting unknowingly and was wondering how to fix this? Thanks.

Take a look in System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Keyboard. There's a tick box in there giving you the option to use the function keys as, erm, standard function keys see if that's ticked or not.
