It kind of annoys me that if I just want to post a plain text type of emoji with a colon, hyphen and closing parentheses it usually automatically gets turned to this 
. I know there is a way in Unicode to stop it from happening but I would prefer to keep it simple.

This explains why my messages often go unanswered. Who wants to message with an unfriendly out of touch grouch with no sense of humor. Oddly I’m okay with it.
