Loving the ☀️ weather app on my iPad. It seriously should have been released over a decade ago.

I agree with you! It's crazy that it took years to build an integrated weather app from the maker of iOS for iPad.
My favorite feature is the removal of duplicates from photos. Perhaps it will take another five years before they incorporate same ‘easy process‘ with Contacts. 🙄

Calculator app would be nice…
Yes, and I would really love for the health app to come to iPad. People mostly take their medicines at home where their iPad is and women usually want to track their cycles at home where the iPad is. People take iPads out also and can be thought of as mobile like your phone only on a larger scale, but when you sit down to do Health related items, like how much you did for the day in terms of exercise etc. if you don’t have a watch, and not everyone does, you may want that on your iPad. All my doctors reports go in files now but I would like to put them in my health app. For me this is more important than the calculator.

I have not yet updated. After one of the updates bricked the 9.7 inch iPad Pro’s I always wait A couple of weeks. So, can you tell me if the weather app has pollen information? I always need to know what the pollen count is and what kind of pollen is out there and I was hoping we would finally get that information available to us.

I don’t mind those three dots at all. Even though I have an M1 iPad Pro, I have no desire to use stage manager and split screen is doing me just fine. I hope for your sake they don’t put that notch on the iPad. I found that REALLY annoying on the phone!

Yes it does and it’s actually a pretty good app overall.

Honestly, none of the new features offered in iOS 16 are important to me. That's why I'm still on iOS 15.7. But it is still not clear to me if the security updates in 16.1 are necessary for those still running 15.7 or if they simply fix issues that were created with iOS 16. Does anyone have a definitive answer?

I happened to be setting up a new iPad the day iPadOS 16.1 was released. I stepped through the transfer from old iPad wizard but the first thing it wants to do is update to iPadOS 16.1 (no option to skip). The first time I choose the iPad-to-iPad transfer method. The trouble is by the time the new iPad had downloaded and prepared the update (probably slower than normal due to demand), the old iPad had timed out. This left the new iPad in setup limbo with the only option to factory reset and start over. The second time I elected to use iCloud transfer, this worked fine because it doesn't need to maintain a connection to the old iPad throughout the lengthy, mandatory update step.
