I think Apple is the same, as Microsoft or any other... Services i the only way forward.. Apple may be ragging it's feet, over Adobe, or other companies, but there is no reason for them *not* do to this. they have everything there.
More control for them, less privacy for users
They may be geared towards mobile, but thats only because the 'key' is cellular access. and 90% of people use mobiles anyway. so it doesn't give me a second thought why Apple wouldn't go this way.
As someone Apple has forced me to get devices for ebay and other non-Apple places just due to the sheer fact they wanna 'push' people into newer tech touhbar stuff,, I couldn't really care less anymore.
I do like the 16-inch display of Macbook, but if it has a touchbar, i'm not tuching it with a 10-foot pole.
Can we get an iPad Pro that records in 8K video and has 120HZ refresh rate like the samsung S20 phone?
I would much rather have these things in an ipad
iPads are ideal for media Hubs and digital nomads like me that want to store watch and listen too large amounts of music and movies even in remote areas. phone capabilities would be nice too

given Macs make up for less than 10% of their profits i think they’ve done pretty well to keep driving Mac production. My 2019 MacPro is case in point
