Whelp. So the current M1 MacBook Pro strikes a weird balance of having only 2 USB-C ports, with a Touch Bar and with scissor keyboard. Maybe Apple never released lower end MacBook Pro with more than 2 USB ports.

The next MacBook Pro refresh will be very interesting to me as I love more ports but have a mixed feeling about Touch Bar. Maybe it did not receive enough love back in the day.

iPhone release won’t attract me much it seems as it has been rumoured to be a very minor update overall. There’s not enough compelling reason for me to ditch iPhone XS Max I have in favour of the new iPhone.
Nice waifu

Apple are gonna have to pull something special out of the bag with iPhone 13 - the rumoured updates aren’t gonna cut it. Google and Samsung setting the bar pretty high already (& S22 not even announced yet)! Apple is going into September pretty badly… ngl… privacy concerns aren’t going to help them either.

Family member bought MBA M1, tried to do a transfer from the old machine. Nothing is recognized on the network. Rebooted, nothing. Do a search online and see this has been a problem since last fall for a lot of people.

Apple?

We had been eagerly waiting the new MBP 16", but based on the privacy issues with OS15, will put the brakes on. Take a wait and hold before we convert all the lat 2016 custom builds to the new MBP 16".

It is assumed the 16" will launch with OS15 and there will be way to download to BS or Catalina.....

Please be advised that Apple Silicon 16" MBP would very likely run MacOS 12, not OS15. You getting confused with iOS 15 and IpadOS 15 which Macs don't run. All these OS's are on their beta 5 presently. :)

Also new Macs have a certain MacOS version that they shipped with, and that is likely to be Mac OS 12 Monterey, so using older OS's would not be possible if that is the case.

I'm sure he knows that, but the prediction is that other Apple OS's would receive similar treatment to phones.
