I thing hi speed means 5G iPhones and most importantly the new Apple Silicone macs, which I believe are going to use desktop level CPUs and GPUs and not the mobile stuff they are using for their iPads and iPhones. That will mean they have way more performance than most people are assuming.

thrilled to go from 8 to 12 mini. Will jump to Pro for 13 series for 120hz tho. I imagine the 12 mini will maintain close to 75% of its value by then, especially if kept pristine in an official Apple battery case 😁

I've been wishing for flagship-level specs in a smaller body iPhone since they discontinued the original iPhone SE. I really like the wide lens in my iPhone 11 Pro, but I'm willing to give it up for the 12 mini.
The expectation is that the mini will have the ultra wide lens, not the telephoto.

Slightly bummed about no 120hz, but going to buy one of the pro models anyway. My 5 year old 6s+ is almost dead and begging for some mercy.

I have 256GB iPhone Max, wondering if I should upgrade with the new generation...

I think this is what I’m going to do. I have a 6s and really want to experience a cutting edge camera and performance improvements. However, there are not nearly enough new features to justify a Pro in my opinion.

I’ll keep the 12 mini for a year, keep it pristine, and then upgrade to the biggest and best that Apple has to offer next year.

So the Apple version of a Nest Mini/Echo dot for twice the price and 1/4 of the smarts? Pass.
The new $99 Google Nest Home is nearly on par with a $200 Sonos. Siri is still dumb as a box of rocks. Yesterday I asked it what is $32.49 X 2% was, and it just kept telling me "Apple.com can help with that..." That's about as basic a request as you can get for a virtual assistant and it cannot do that.

If you're an Apple music user, I guess this is good for you to be able to join the party of little speakers in places you don't care about great sound (like the bathroom for your shower) but there's a reason I use Spotify. It's better (recommendations, bundling of Podcasts into one app, more features) and it works on every platform.

Excited for the new iPhones though.

Mag safe and usb-c.... free up that port and skip the dongles!
I also prefer having a rigid charging port for phones because if you drop your phone with you charger plugged in, it might save the phone from a drop. On the other hand, you don't want the charging port to be rigid on a laptop, unless you like it when someone trips over your cord.
