I have a ruined MBP (dead logic board), of which I will take off all my data. It can still run XP (just) to browse the web.

Best idea for something hilarious to do with it wins a prize.

Oh, Frizbee has been suggested, and no. It's too heavy and I'm likey to kill someone if i throw it at them.

Go.

Wrap it up and sell it on ebay. Say no battery included and nothing else (so your technically not lying)

Donate it to Charity.

Go to the recycling center.

Recycle it for the Aluminum.

In CA you can get $0.10 for it.

.........ooorrrr you could just mail it to me.

put some legs on it and make it into a night-stand. Set it next to your bed. Then you can put your wee...I mean organic herbs in it for storage.

take it to the apple store pretending to have a simple problem with the leopard that wont do something, when u hand it over to them do it in away so they drop it, like let go just before they hold onto it.. watch it fall and claim that they broke it, and watch the guys face haha. You might even get a free laptop haha! :p:p:p

note.... I have not done this and i never intend to do this, it just simply came to me when i read the title of the thread haha

Not a bad idea..

Place an ad online/in the papers:
"Heartbroken Macbook Pro looking for logic board to complete me.
I'm clean and free of viruses and malware, and expect you to be the same.
Interests: Starting quickly, great work ethic, long hikes on the Internet
Dislikes: Crashing or any form of fatal blue screen"

Seriously though, why not just see if you can find another MBP with a broken screen or something and combine them, or search eBay/Craigslist for a cheap logic board?
There are even sites out there that charge $600-700 or so to replace the board (including round trip delivery), isn't that worth it to get the MBP working again?

Go.

freaking fix it? This post makes no sense.

You could glue a mirror to the lcd and use it to put on your makeup.

Paint a red circle on it and sight in your rifle.

Do you have a door that won't stay open or some papers that blow around on your desk?

Use it as a anchor / mooring for your toy boat.

I'd drop it in the toilet and then start a thread about it. No reason the iPhone should have an exclusive on dropping it in the toilet threads.

At the Store near me, they always make you put the computer on the desk before doing any sort of work on it. You drop it in store... means they need to call a janitor to clean the floor. That's it.

perhaps I could have been more clear in my initial post, something wrong with the logicboard/gpu, took it to apple, $1500AU repair + service time. Yes, it runs XP, but at the speed I'd expect from my 233mhz pentium 2, primarily because I don't think XP uses the GPU to handle any of it's core processes like OSX does.

Plus, I was about to upgrade to a mac pro anyway.

I'm liking the suggestions, keep em coming. Boat anchor has it at the moment. Next thing i need to do is buy a boat...

Im currently trying to figure out the 'Top things you would do with a MBP that won't connect to any wireless connections" .. any ideas?
