I am unclear to what's what with my own "subscriptions." This has not been a very clean change over to a new pay model. Rebranding the apps didn't help either. I use these apps with Affinity Photo so it all works nicely. At this point, I'll ride out the apps until they demand more money and then make a decision unless they offer some sort of heavy discount for "lifetime."

I don't think "lifetime" is coming back in the sense you're thinking.

Best case scenario... you lock in a "lifetime renewal rate" of $163 USD/yr for the entire Studio suite, vs. a retail price of $399/yr.

^^^ But if that is appealing to you, you only have 2 more days to do such... actually it may be too late already to purchase the legacy perpetual versions and have them roll over/transition to Studio on 9/26/25 at the 'Founder's rate'.

It is rather odd, I appear to have both right now. I was charged 169.00 for Studio that renews this December. I also seem to have the older traditional "AI" apps as well that can get upgraded around the same time. This is a bit confusing as it seems I was charged for both. I left them a message to clarify if I am locked in on Studio and why the overlap. I gather Studio is just the next versions as a bundle as you said and unsure why I am also paying for the older version as well which ends around the same time as the Studio. Odd.

This is actually expected behavior. But you shouldn't have been charged anything for Studio apps, did you actually see a charge on your credit card?

Your legacy/perpetual versions are what you previously paid for, and still have access to download/use those, for as long as your OS supports them.

Because you had active subscription to the legacy apps, you now have access to the "Studio" version of the apps, until the last day of your furthest-out legacy subscription date, i.e. next year.

You can renew the Studio bundle at $163/yr going forward. But if you don't renew, you will lose access to the Studio versions and would have to rely on your legacy versions.

But those legacy versions are basically 'frozen' as of today, with their current feature sets. The Studio versions are the ones with the new models/features.
