    Hi all,

Bit of a strange one and one that I can't find anything on when trawling through Google for mac, though there are several pertinent queries but for PC.

You will see from the attached image
    [IMG]

a toolbar present at the bottom of my screen, this has somehow got on my MacBook Pro via a download I would imagine.

The software is called Topictorch and I can't seem to remove it :(.

Their website is very unhelpful and their advice on removing Topictorch is pretty useless as none of the files can be found and the way they describe locating and removal makes little sense to me.

I really need to remove this please, any advice.

    Many thanks.

    Z

It's not a virus, as no Mac OS X viruses exist in the wild. For details about Macs and malware, read this:

You simply need to uninstall the toolbar. The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

Spot on thanks, nothing showed up in the Activity Monitor, but the annoying toolbar appears to be dead!

    Cheers
