iPhone 13 Pro Max Torn between keeping my 13 pro max or upgrading to 17 pro max.

I call BS on this. I’ve tried the tech woven case multiple times, and also tried the clear case at the store, no scratch and certainly no dent on my orange 17PM. But of course I f one uses pliers, a lot of things can happen, or a case that’s not meant for a 17PM…

The normal iPhones were all aluminum bodies too right? So it's not like this is the first aluminum phone Apple has made. (Supporting your statement).

Than why are these so fragile? Bad batch? If I wait will they release a stronger version? Also how long do trade in deals at AT&T usually last?

No idea - I haven't really looked into it - I opted for keeping my 15 Pro Max so I can't really say. But some of the pics show the sides crumbling when hit - but that's why I have AppleCare+ (even today, on my 15 Pro Max) .

And I'm on Verizon - they usually have them all year long. I usually get via Apple with the Apple Card - had a bad experience at a Verizon store so I avoid those if I can

Had the 13 PM since brand new. Finally upgraded to the 17 PM. After four years, there is more than enough upgrades between 13 and 17 Pro to justify the cost for me personally. Now I just have to ride the 17 PM for another four years.. Seems pretty solid with the battery!

i have a mint condition 13 pro max. i only briefly thought about getting a 17 pro max, and that was on launch day. then i let it go. waiting on their fold. went to the store and looked at the z fold and thought about that, but don’t want to spend that much to replace it a year later and i don’t think that i could go 1 year on android. way too hard.

I’m close to really thinking it’s time to upgrade because the 17 pm is basically free from AT&T with trade in. Any idea why people are now posting about green screen tint? They are saying that there’s 3 different screens or something Apple is using??

Welp. I canceled my order and will just get a new battery. My buddy has the orange 17 pro max and it literally can be dented just by putting a new tight fitting case on. He put it on and it dented a small portion of the phone.

That is just unreal!! Yeah, as much as I loved the speed of the new phone...all the little upgrades since my 13 Pro Max, I cannot get past all the posts, pictures - dents / scratches on how fragile this is. Even putting a case on it might dent this thing?? C'mon!

Perfectly fine with the new battery in this 13PM!

It really depends on what you’re looking to do next year. If Fold or Air 2, wait until 2026.

heres the thing though they weren't as heavy as these phones are so when dropping they didn't hit as hard nor were they as big so less surface area.

I was also thinking of trading in my 13PM for a regular 17, just cause I've come to dislike the weight of it and now the lighter base phones have 120hz displays. My battery is still at 90% though and I'd have to pay $840 CAD still even with the trade-in. I think I'll wait another year or two. Here's what I think they're likely going to do, they'll increase base models to 12GB RAM across the board considering they want their own Siri LLM to run, they'll find space for a second speaker and second camera in the Iphone Air 2, and the Pros will get under screen FaceID and selfie cam, which will all be much better reasons to upgrade.

I think I'm going to upgrade from 15 Pro (in perfect condition) to a 17 Pro - but not soon, they are out of stock everywhere.

Either a silver or orange one.
