torrent client troubles with leopard

I'm running 9a559, and was previously running 9a527. I've been having major issues with torrent clients (azureus, tomato, bittorrent, transmission, bitrocket and xtorrent). When I say major, I mean that after a few minutes of running, I get the error that says "You must restart your computer...". In addition, when I try to quit these programs, they will not close, and I have not been able to force quit. Anyone have any insight or similar problems?

Those seem to be kernel panics, often a hardware issue...is this a legit copy of Leopard?
