I have been using Transmission and have been d/l'ing & u/l'ing with no real problems until recently. My downloading remains the same however my seeds are now 0/0 and I cant upload anymore. Problem started right after i d/led my 1st torrent from a private site. I have been d/ling from mainly publics and 1 other private site with no problems. I decided to try out another private site and after d/ling it **BAM** No more seeding and uploading. F.Y.I. the site has loads of members so i dont think its the site.

Did this site mess up my setting somehow because i heard some private sites require tweaking with the settings.

PLEASE HELP me smart people. I am a dullard when it comes to this business.

If nothing helps, should i just format and start fresh??Will that help?

You aren't the first people to ask this question. There are so many variables as to what's causing your problems I really don't feel like going into all of them. First and foremost *always* check your router and firewall to make sure your connection isn't impeded. Forward the proper port(s) and turn off the firewall.

Maybe your ISP is fed up with your constant bandwidth hogging? ;)

having the exact same problem, tried using multiple different clients.

What.cd wont work
StMusic wont work

Libble does work

:S

Same Exact Problem - Need a Solution Please!

I've been having the same problem.
Same circumstances too. It was fine with public torrents!
But now right after I download the torrent all of my peers drop out when I try to seed. I checked my port forwarding and firewall settings. Everything is ok.
I don't know what to do. My ratio is being ruined!
Please if anyone finds a solution please please reply back.

Yeah, it's all connected. My port is definitely properly forwarded. Can anyone else help please?

I'm very desperate. I need a good share ratio for the private torrent site I belong to!

Workaround

For anyone googling this issue: I found a solution or rather a workaround.
I reverted to older versions of Transmission, I had to go all the way back to 1.50 from 2.33, but after it started working there was no problem returning to the newest version, it kept seeding.

Some trackers don't allow certain versions of torrent clients. Check the rules/FAQ and find the "allowed clients" list.

My problem was with the port, finally figured it out. Make sure the light next to the port is green - not sure why but some feel that red means its working and green means failed... (no comment)
