Hey Everyone,

Sorry if this is a repost, but I can't find the information I need definitively.

I am coming off of a AT&T two year contract and wanting to start the Apple Upgrade Program with the 7+.

My question(s) are:

1. What fees are being charged to my CC tonight during pre order?

- It used to be the $199, $299, etc, now I am unfamiliar. I know that they charge you the monthly amount upon pre order, but is that it? Is there other fees they tack on such as taxes of the phone and etc?

2. Just curious as to how the AUP works and what I'll be charged in TOTAL tonight just for pre order.

Thanks in advance for any clarification that y'all post. Take care!

As far as I know, nothing will be charged tonight for IUP.

Your pre-order tonight will be to reserve your device. When you go in store to pick it up, that's when they will run your credit info and charge you.

Well that would be awesome. Not that I care, but that makes it a bit easier and more understandable. I just didn't want it to put a hold on the card for full amount of phone, etc. Thanks for the reply.

So is it confirmed that we cannot do a credit check for IUP tonight and get all confirmed at pre-order time?

If you have T-Mobile, you need to go to store to enroll. All others can be done online without going into the store. It's on apples site.

Thanks! I actually asked Citizens Bank and they told me I would "definitely" have to apply in store. Guess they don't know whats up.
Yea I'm up in the air about what I'm doing. Don't know between AT&T or Apple upgrade.

Same, I think I'm going to try the apple program first and see how it fairs during the mayhem.
I don't like the fact that it needs to go on a credit card. I wish I could do it on my debit card.

So as of next week I'll be moving to Tmobile but right now I'm on ATT which ends next week too... I have my Tmobile Sim al ready to go with the plan I want... SO...... this evening when I pre order, do I say I'm on ATT or Tmobile?? And does it make a difference seeing as the phone should be unlocked for all carriers?
I currently have an iPhone 6 but don't want to trade it in so am doing the AUP and getting the 7+..

Thanks in advance!!!

$0. Same as if you were doing in store pickup. Last year you could even switch between the two at the store.

It does allow you to move to a checking account after it's established, after my first months payment I moved to my checking and it's gone through there ever since!
I just spoke to someone at Apple and thy said it has to go through credit card. There is no way to link to checking.

On that note I have a question: if I use my aunts credit card (I only own a debit) to buy it in installments can I still have my apple id account attached to mine?

That is not correct, you have to have a credit card to enroll but once it's established you make an account with citizens and they allow you to move your payment to a checking account

Apple = Apple Care +, but you take a hard hit on your credit for opening a loan for the phone. Unlocked phone.

AT&T Next or similar, no credit check if you already have an account, you just get it added to your current bill. But locked phone till paid off.

I personally don't want my credit hit for a phone, so I am going Next.
