My less than a month old ipod Touch 8GB does not recharge. I don't know how or when I drained its battery, but now even if I leave it connected to my PC or use the socket power connector for *hours*, Touch only shows the battery image still at 0%, with an electricity icon below it.

I have tried this with 3 different cables on two computers. :(

If I unplug, it switches off immediately, and itunes does not detect it either.

Anyone has a solution to this?
Do you think Apple will replace it?

If you can take it to an apple store, make an appointment with the 'genius bar' or something. If they can see that it's not charging, they should repair or replace it.
