okay, ordered 32MB from amazon.uk (cheeeep), it's on the delivery truck as I type ....woohoo! already have 10 GB files ripped from CD in MP3 @ 160kps.

so the question, obv backup everything as MP3 but should I convert to all files to AAC before syncing? and once the touch's arrived - what is the preferred rip format AAC (256kps), MP3 - what's the most common setting used to rip musing, video, etc ??

thx . . . tayharley

Dont' convert from the MP3s to AAC, you'll lose quality from the transcode. But any new rips, 256kbps AAC sounds great.

Ok,if you have the MP3's no need to convert in AAC just go along and drag the music in your itunes library and then sync you iPod.And the best tool for ripping videos is a program called Handbrake....google it.

sorry thx for the fb - 32Gb natch. Arrived this morning the courier left it on the front step - luckily I arrived home 10 mins later. Been playing with it ever since !!! can't put it down :D
