So I've been trying to make purchases in the App Store with touch id but it always asks for my password. Under settings I have everything switch on to allow purchases with touch Id but it just won't do it.

I've tried restarting my device and then opening up the fingerprint settings to verify my account but still it won't work.

What's the deal?

I was having the same problem and I turned off the option for using fingerprints for app purchases and then turned it back on. It then asked me for my password and then started working. The only time I've had it ask me again for my password is after a restart.

Check to see if you have restrictions enabled, specifically the require password setting. If this is set to require a password immediately for purchases, then you'll always be prompted for the password and never given the option to scan. It took me a couple of days before finally figuring this out.
