It's terrible over here. I did some rescannings of my thumb, but I have the impression that the recognition slips after a few times of use. My index finger fares better, I would say 80% recognition. But with the way I hold and use my phone, the thumb is the only viable option. In the beginning I threw away previous recognitions and started again, but now I have 3 scans of my thumb, but it's not getting better.
I also find the recognition process a bit stupid and unclear. Most of the times I do the recognition I sense the motion which I suppose the signal to iift your finger. But sometimes I can lift and press what I want, but no motion feedback. Also I was wondering what those graphic representations with the small lines of the finger are supposed to mean, is this in someway meaningful or just some fancy indication of the phase you are in the recognition process?
And last but not least I've wondered what the option "Require Passcode" is supposed to mean. I expected something like "15 minutes". "30 minutes" etc. but it only gives one option "Immediately" that can't be changed.
I hope that Apple cleans up their act in new iOS versions with this stuff...If not I'm afraid I'll skip Touch ID altogether, which would be a shame because if it worked it would be very cool.
