Suddenly, Touch ID has stopped working intermittently on my iPhone 5S. The "slide to unlock" either doesn't appear or it doesn't have the shimmering animation across the text. I don't even get the "Try again" message. Just nothing. Anyone else having this issue?

This feels similar to when I got the 4S and soon became frustrated with Siri because it only worked intermittently ("I'm really sorry about this..."). Why would I bother to ever use a feature that only works sometimes? 😡
