Taking a look at photo's of the Apple Watch, this looks like Apple could make the digital crown Touch ID compliant for the 2nd generation. Tapping in your passcode all the time must be getting obnoxious by now?

Could this be used for Touch ID??? Seems like this would make the watch a lot easier to secure and activate?

I think the surface area is too small to get enough finger on there. It's also a bit awkward to do. I saw someone else mention using the screen for touch id earlier and thought that would be neat. Or I guess the idea is that it's not needed with wrist detection and all that.

I find it just as easy to put the watch on and have my phone automatically unlock the device. It then stays unlocked until you remove the watch.

You should only need to type in a passcode when you remove your watch. Otherwise it already works in conjunction with Touch ID so I don't think it's necessary.

I never type the passcode.

I put it on, unlock my iPhone using TouchID and thus, my Watch unlocks.
